Running a profitable digital business doesn’t require subscribing to the hustle-culture in order to make a comfortable living and find true freedom for the things you love most.
When it comes to marketing our business online, there’s a TON of conflicting information out there. Do we post 3 reels a day, or do we focus on TikTok and LinkedIn? And don’t forget about Pinterest and YouTube… I don’t disagree with all of it per say, but I do know that it is all […]

When it comes to marketing our business online, there’s a TON of conflicting information out there. Do we post 3 reels a day, or do we focus on TikTok and LinkedIn? And don’t forget about Pinterest and YouTube…
I don’t disagree with all of it per say, but I do know that it is all incredibly exhausting.
Today, Courtney Elmer is here to help us understand the importance of the one thing that can change the game on all of our content, and how it serves as the ultimate lead generation into our businesses.
One of the biggest mistakes business owners make is focusing too much on short-form content to grow their audience, but they don’t have a long-form strategy designed to attract customers, drive sales, and position them as the most in-demand authority in their space.
Putting your offer out there for the first time and expecting people to buy is kind of like asking someone to marry you on the first date. Courtney shares that people have to consume upwards of 7 hours of your content before they’re ready to buy from you (that’s over 1,600 15-second reels).
But, people listen to podcasts and spend hours getting to know that host. They develop a relationship & trust that person. Episodes are longer than social media posts, and every episode helps build a library of content that people can learn from.
One of the biggest things people overlook when it comes to marketing is leverage—how do I create the biggest result with the least amount of time and effort? We try to do this by using multiple social media platforms, but those don’t work together as a cohesive unit to help your brand grow.
A podcast, on the other hand, is essentially an anchor point in your marketing ecosystem. It becomes the source of all the content you create, and you can use various other platforms to drive traffic back to your podcast.
Does this sound like you? Instead of using your own voice, you often fall into the habit of using trending reels or carousel templates because you believe that’s what your audience wants to see.
The chances are, you consume information from people you respect and admire because they’re sharing original content.
So often, we make excuses that are keeping us hidden and stuck.
If you spend more time consuming content than you do creating content, you’re going to have a hard time getting people to see you as the in-demand authority in your niche.
Finally, while a podcast is incredible, you have to have the right strategy going into it. So many people quit after episode 6, simply because they didn’t have a strategy to attract, keep, and convert their listeners.
